CardPointe 1.39 Release Notes

CardPointe release version 1.39 includes the following enhancements:

Two Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two Factor Authentication (2FA) is now required for users under a merchant account that has the Forced Credit permission enabled.

2FA is required to verify the user's identity before allowing the user to perform either of the following tasks:

Authenticating a Force Credit Transaction

The first time you attempt to run a force credit transaction from the Virtual Terminal, you will be prompted to enter a Verification Code.

You are only required to authenticate your account the first time you attempt to run a force credit or create a new user during your active session. A successful authentication is valid for the duration of your session.

The following steps describe the Force Credit Authentication workflow:

  1. On the Virtual Terminal, you select the Force Credit transaction type, enter the billing information, and click Process Force Credit.

  2. CardPointe sends a Verification Code to the email address on file for your merchant account.
  3. The Verification Code message displays, prompting you to enter the verification code that you received.

  4. You enter the code and click Verify Code.
  5. Your account is verified, and you are able to run the transaction.

You can continue to run additional force credit transactions and create new users without additional authentication during this session.

When your session ends (either because you logged out or because you remained inactive for 45 minutes) you must re-authenticate the next time you attempt to perform either of these tasks in a new session.

Verification codes expire after 10 minutes, or three incorrect entries.

Authenticating a New User Creation

The first time you attempt to create a new user, you will be prompted to enter a Verification Code.

You are only required to authenticate your account the first time you attempt to run a force credit or create a new user during your active session. A successful authentication is valid for the duration of your session.

The following steps describe the Create New User Authentication workflow:

  1. On the Administration page, you select the Users tab, and click the +New User button.
  2. On the Create New User page, you fill in the user details, and click Save.
  3. CardPointe sends a Verification Code to the email address on file for your merchant account.
  4. The Verification Code message displays, prompting you to enter the verification code that you received.

  5. You enter the code and click Verify Code.
  6. Your account is verified, and the new user is created.

You can continue to create additional new users or run force credit transactions without additional authentication during this session.

When your session ends (either because you logged out or because you remained inactive for 45 minutes) you must re-authenticate the next time you attempt to perform either of these tasks in a new session.

View and Sort Customer Accounts by Expiry

The Virtual Terminal Customers tab now includes an expiry column that displays the expiration date for each customer account.

Export Stored Customer Profiles

You can now download a list of stored customer profiles associated with your merchant account. The list is exported as a CSV file (named Accounts.csv) that includes customers specified by the filter and search value that are currently applied to the table.

For example, if you enter "PA" in the search box and filter the table by Zip, the download includes a list of customers with State = PA, sorted by zip code.

The list includes the following information for each profile:

  • Default
  • Brand
  • Last 4
  • Expiry Month
  • Expiry Year
  • Name
  • Address
  • City
  • State
  • Zip
  • Email
  • Phone

To download a list of stored customer profiles, do the following:

  1. Click Virtual Terminal > Customers.

  2. On the Customers page, optionally enter a search term and/or filter the table as desired.

  3. Click Download.

The Accounts.csv file is generated and downloaded.

Export CoPilot User Information

This feature is only available for Admin users.

You can now download a list of CoPilot users associated with your merchant account. The list is exported as a CSV file (named Users.csv) that includes the following information:

  • Name
  • Email
  • Status
  • User Type
  • Date Added
  • Last Log On Date

The CSV always includes all users sorted by Name (Ascending), regardless of any filters currently applied to the table.

To download a list of users, do the following:

  1. Click Administration > Users.

  2. On the Users page, click Download.

The Users.csv file is generated and downloaded.
