CardPointe 1.41 Release Notes
CardPointe release version 1.41 includes the following enhancements:
- Account Change Request Tickets
- Edit Billing Plans
- Linked Parent Transactions for Refunds
- CVV and USB Card Reader Options Enabled for New Accounts
- PCI Compliance Status Notifications
- User Account Change Verification
Merchants with the ability to create support tickets can now create tickets to request certain account changes, rather than faxing paper forms.
The following ticket reasons are now available:
The following ticket types require a digital signature and two-factor authentication to complete:
- Bank Account Change
- Legal Name/Tax ID Update
- DBA Update
To request a bank account change, select the Bank Account Change ticket reason.
The Bank Account Change ticket includes the following fields:
|Old Routing Number||The current bank account routing number.|
|Old Account Number||The current bank account number.|
|New Account Type|
Select one of the following types for the new account:
|New Bank Name||The name of the bank to which the new account belongs.|
|New Bank Phone Number||The contact phone number for the bank to which the new account belongs.|
|New Routing Number||The routing number for the new account.|
|New Account Number||The bank account number for the new account.|
Optionally, attach one of the following to verify your new bank account information:
Note: If you do not provide an attachment, you might be prompted to provide one if we are unable to verify your new account with the information that you provided.
|Tax ID||The tax ID associated with the account, required to sign the form.|
The last 4 digits of the account owner's SSN, required to sign the form.
Note: This is not required for non-profit or Individual/Sole Proprietor accounts.
|Signer Name||The account owner's Legal Name, required to sign the form.|
To request a legal business name or tax ID change, select the Legal/Tax ID ticket reason.
The Legal/Tax ID ticket includes the following fields:
|New Legal Name||The new legal name for this account.|
|New Tax ID|
The new Tax ID for this account.
Must be 10 characters including the dash.
One of the following, to verify your new information:
|The current Tax ID, required to sign the form.|
|The account owner's current Legal Name, required to sign the form.|
To request a doing business as (DBA) name change change, select the DBA Name Change ticket reason.
The DBA Change ticket includes the following fields:
|New DBA Name||The new Doing Business As (DBA) name that you want to use.|
|Tax ID||The tax ID for the account, required to sign the form.|
|Signer Name||The account owner's Legal Name, required to sign the form|
To request a phone number, mailing address, or physical location address change, select the Demographic Change ticket reason.
The Demographic Change ticket includes a description field for you to provide the details of your change request. for example, if you want to change your contact phone number, you could specify "Please change my phone number to (111)111-1111."
You can now edit billing plans in CardPointe. Previously, billing plans could not be modified.
You can edit the following billing plan details:
- Plan Scheduling
- Plan Name
- E-mail Receipt
- Editing the billing plan does not modify the customer's profile.
- Existing scheduled payments with a status of 'Scheduled' on or after (date) will no longer be available.
To edit an existing billing plan, click Edit Plan on the Billing Plan Details page.
The Transactions table includes a new Parent Transaction column that displays the original or parent transaction linked to a refund.
To enable this column, select the Parent Transaction option from the Columns list.
A Parent Transaction is the original transaction record linked to the refund. Click the Parent Transaction number to view the details of the original transaction.
The CVV and USB Card Entry Virtual Terminal settings are now enabled by default, for new merchant accounts.
This change does not modify existing accounts.
This release includes changes to the behavior of the PCI compliance status notifications to ensure that merchants see the correct information.
If one or more merchant accounts under the customer account are flagged as non-compliant, the Accounts Tab displays the following notices:
The following are only displayed if one or more merchants on the customer account are flagged as non-compliant.
- The PCI non-compliant banner displays and provides a link to Trustwave.
- The PCI Status column displays the PCI status for each merchant account.
Possible values are:
- Not Compliant - The merchant account has been flagged as non-compliant.
- Not Applicable - PCI compliance validation is not enabled for the merchant.
To ensure the security of your user account, CardPointe now sends a verification email to the email address on file for your user account when you update your email address or password.
Email Address Updates
When you change your email address, a verification email is sent to both the previous email address and the new email address to notify you of the change and to confirm that the change was valid.
When you change your password, a verification email is sent to the email address on file to notify you of the change and to confirm that the change was valid.
